Reconnecting with your clients

Monday, May 31 at 11:15 AM - Room 1140, Desmarais Hall

It's easy to lose touch with your clients, faculty, staff and students at your institution. Asking for feedback sounds simple enough, but it's not always easy to do. Once you have feedback, you have to move forward and come up with a plan to address the issues raised. In this presentation, you will learn about new initiatives at the University of Waterloo that have improved collaboration between faculty IT groups, between IT and students, and between IT and administrative departments. Most of these initiatives resulted from recommendations in an IT Task Force report at the University of Waterloo. The IST Client Services group at the University of Waterloo has made some changes to improve service to clients, and more changes are on the way. There will be time in this presentation to share experiences, allowing you to take away some ideas on how to reconnect with your clients, so that you can do a better job to meet their needs now, and in the future.
